• Is the Lyssn platform secure?

  

  Lyssn meets the highest industry security standards. Our platform is HIPAA, FERPA, and GDPR compliant. Lyssn is audited annually for SOC 2 certification and HIPAA compliance. All data is encrypted in transit and at rest in the Lyssn cloud. Lyssn AI access supports two-factor authentication and requires strong passwords. Learn more about security at Lyssn.

• What scientific research backs up the Lyssn platform?

  

  We believe feedback on evidence-based practice should be evidence based. Lyssn’s metrics build upon a decade of NIH funded research and are backed by over 50 peer-reviewed publications. We are constantly evaluating new tools and work with experts in the community and in university settings to hold our tools to the highest standards of science. • How does Lyssn measure Motivational Interviewing and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy fidelity?

  

  Lyssn’s AI is trained on human evaluations with gold-standard measures of fidelity to evidence-based practices. For Motivational Interviewing (MI), Lyssn’s algorithms are based on a combination of the Motivational Interviewing Skill Code (MISC), and Motivational Interviewing Treatment Integrity Inventory (MITI). Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) fidelity algorithms are trained on expert human ratings using the Cognitive Therapy Rating Scale (CTRS). Lyssn’s AI works by learning complex associations between expert human ratings of sessions with these scales and session content. After learning from an extensive number of examples, Lyssn’s AI is able to rate sessions in a way that is indistinguishable from human raters for most metrics. • What does Overall MI Fidelity mean?

  

  This is a summary score calculated from the number of Global Ratings (empathy and collaboration) and Behavioral Summary metrics.

• Can I use Lyssn telehealth for group therapy?

  

  At this time, our telehealth feature can be used for individual, one-on-one therapy sessions only.

• My agency provides services in the community or at the client’s home, can we still use Lyssn?

  

  Yes! Lyssn can be used anywhere you can record a session with your client’s consent. Current Lyssn customers record on computers, mobile devices, telephonic systems, or on any portable audio or video device. If wifi is unavailable recordings can be later uploaded into the Lyssn platform. Please contact us to discuss your specific needs.

• How long does it take to get coding results back?

  

  Lyssn’s AI processes sessions within minutes, returning complete transcripts, our evidence-based metrics, and draft clinical notes. Session recordings that are uploaded to, rather than recorded on, Lyssn can take slightly longer to process depending on the file format and length.

• Can I download transcripts?

  

  For security reasons, we do not offer downloading of session transcripts by default in Lyssn. However, we can work with you to provide access to session transcripts consistent with stakeholder needs.

• How is Lyssn priced?

  

  Lyssn is priced like many software-as-a-service products, by the “seat,” or number of users. The minimum pricing available is for 100 users.

• The number of coaches/clinicians/case workers we have fluctuates throughout the year. Do I still have to pay for subscriptions if they are not in use?

  

  We are happy to work with you to develop a yearly contract based on the average expected users throughout the year.

• Does your platform meet Family First Prevention Services Act (FFPSA) fidelity monitoring requirements?

  

  Yes! The Family First Prevention Services Act (FFPSA) of 2018 requires agencies to monitor fidelity of approved evidence-based practices. Lyssn’s HIPAA-compliant AI-platform includes secure recording and sharing of counseling or coaching sessions, unlimited storage, and speech-to-text transcription. Lyssn provides scalable, automatic assessment of Motivational Interviewing (MI) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to meet the Family First Prevention Services Act reporting requirements.

• What do I do if I’m having trouble logging in?

  

  If you are having issues logging into the platform, make sure you are entering the USERNAME assigned to you and not your email address. If you are still encountering issues, you can reset your password or contact us at support@lyssn.io.
